SERIES 851/20 SINGLE LARGE ORIFICE AIR VALVE, PN16
The Series 851/20 (Fig 1260) Single Large Orifice Air Relief Valve is used for automatically exhausting air from a pipeline when it is being filled with water, the air being released at a sufficiently high rate to prevent back pressure restriction of water inflow rate: or for automatically ventilating a pipeline when it is being emptied of water, the air inflow rate being sufficiently high to prevent the developments of high vacuum pressures in the line.
