AVK France and Glenfield Valves Ltd are happy to announce that we are fast approaching completion of the contract to supply 212 gate valves to Vinci Construction Grand Projects/ QDVC/ Entrepose Joint Venture for the prestigious Doha North – Pumping Station 70 Project based in Qatar. This is truly a Global AVK effort as no less than 7 different AVK Group sources from AVK Middle East, AVK France, Glenfield Valves Ltd, AVK Anhui, AVK Malaysia, AVK Purchasing and AVK Holding – Legal have had a hand in securing this high profile project worth in excess of 3.5M€.
Glenfield Valves will have supplied the valves with a full UK Certificate of Origin for the 65x Large Diameter (DN900-1800 Series 54/31), 100x Mid Range (DN400 Series 54/32) and 47x Small Diameter (DN150-250 Series 37/41) gate valves; all complete with gearbox, actuator or portable actuator. In addition to the valves, but of no lesser achievement, Glenfield Valves’ Robina Williams deserves particular recognition for working closely with the contractor, along with Jim McAllister, Project Manager to produce an extensive, painstakingly compiled QA documentation package. Entrepose Inspectors have commented the Glenfield Quality Documentation for this project is superior to all other contract suppliers.
We are currently on track for completing the entire project supply, from quotation to last shipment, in 15months. This is no small achievement and could not have been done without the cooperation of the Global AVK brand.
