LARGE GATE VALVE ORDER FOR GLENFIELD

Glenfield Valves Ltd is pleased to announce the successful award of a 3 million Euro order for over 200 Gate Valves ranging in size from DN150 up to DN1800.

Glenfield and AVK France worked closely together throughout the tendering process for several months in order to clarify many technical and commercial requirements.

The contract has been awarded by the large French contractor "ENTREPOSE Contracting" with the final end client being Ashghal / Public Works Authority. The project is for the installation of a Sewerage Treatment and Associated Works & Pumping mains in Doha North, Qatar.

Glenfield benefited significantly from already being an approved supplier to ASHGHAL and subsequently, following a successful QA Audit - Glenfield Valves Ltd are now a recognised approved supplier to Entrepose Contracting as well.

Work is now well under way with General Arrangement drawings and Raw Material procurement being finalised in order to obtain formal customer sign-off approval in advance of manufacturing commencing.

The delivery schedule for the valves stretches from February until July 2010.

The award of the contract proves once again that the AVK and Glenfield product offering is competitive and recognised throughout the World.
